As Exit 156 Capital’s managing partner, Josh Robinson is a high energy, bold and innovative executive with 20+ years of experience enabling sustainable business growth with a relentless pursuit of continuous improvement.

A results-focused strategic partner that creates and captures enterprise value through the development, alignment, and execution of an organization’s strategies across all enterprise value streams.  Josh has proven a consistent ability to build teams that think big, start small and scale fast to drive profitable growth and maximize value.

Josh has a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Saint John’s University and advance degrees and certifications from the University of South Dakota and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has held senior executive roles in both finance and information technology in organizations ranging from $50M to $7B in annual revenue.

His career has centered on developing partnerships with authenticity and trust, building teams and organizational culture that focus on delivering business outcomes, and positioning organizations as a destination employer that attracts global, industry-leading talent.

Mike Nathan

Founding Partner

Mike grew up on Big Fish Lake in Cold Spring, MN.  He graduated from Saint John’s University before serving 4.5 years in the United States Navy as a Boatswain’s Mate and Search & Rescue (SAR) Swimmer in Japan, Hawaii, and Italy.  After his service, Mike completed his MBA at Concordia University – St. Paul.

Currently, Mike is the Co-Founder and CEO of Mendota Health – a mobile wound care company with the most innovative and accessible advanced wound care treatments available, at-home or on-site.  In additional to Mendota Health, Mike is an active founder at Impero, Big Stone Capital Group, TurnSignl, EruptCinn, NEOS Elite Performance, La Virgen Rum, and FritzFinn, while serving as a Board member for Brother Justus Whiskey Co., Vail Scientific, and Next Barn Studios as well as a founder, investor, or advisor to over 12 start-up companies including YourPath, Kaleidoscope Group, WalkWise, NightWare, Twin Ignition Start-up Garage, and Livio Health Group.

Mike lives in Mendota Heights, Minnesota with his lovely wife Sara and two beautiful kids, Olivia and Fritz.  In addition to being a loyal fan of the Minnesota Vikings he enjoys reading, playing chess, drinking whiskey, smoking cigars, making chili, swimming with the family, fighting for social justice, and laughing (mostly at himself).

Brian Kueppers

Founding Partner

Brian founded Apex Revenue Technologies in 1995 to provide patient billing solutions for the healthcare industry and has worked with some of the largest healthcare organizations in the country.  After partnering with a local equity firm, Tonka Bay Equity Partners, the company grew to over $120 million in revenue.  Apex was sold in 2018 to RevSpring, a GTCR portfolio company and in 2024 sold to Frazier Healthcare Partners.

Kueppers has invested, developed, or re-developed over 30 properties, including multi-family, single family, industrial and retail projects.  His depth of knowledge in operating a mid-sized service and technology firm has positioned him well as a creative and thoughtful real estate investor.

As a graduate of St. Thomas Academy, and Saint John’s University, Brian has built many long-term local relationships and received many awards including the Saint John’s University Entrepreneur of the year award in 2016, honorary member of Sigma Beta Delta, and the 2024 Distinguished Alumni Award.  He has been on the board of and invested in many Midwest companies.

Brian and his wife Shelley split time between Mendota Heights Minnesota and Cape Coral Florida.   They are the proud parents of 3 children and 2 granddaughters.
